Hinge boring bits, also known as "cylinder boring" bits, are used for precise, perpendicular hole boring to fit hinges, locks,
RTA fittings and any other application where clean, flat-bottomed holes are required. Carbide cutting edges give
excellent performance and durability in wood, composites, laminate panels, and solid plastic. Spurs outline the hole
to prevent chipping or splintering. These bits are normally run in boring machines or drill presses. Hand drilling
with smaller sizes is feasible, but not recommended by the manufacturers.
