Custom Moulder and Shaper Knives
 
  Made-to-order HSS knives are the most economical way to match moulding profiles or custom designs that are not available as stock profiles from wood moulding distributors. Typical cost of custom knife pairs is between $95.00 and $150.00 depending on the dimensions of the profile. As a rough guide, custom knives run about $30/inch of profile, with a minimum charge of $95. Our usual lead time for producing custom HSS knives is 2-3 days. You provide us with a drawing, CAD file, fax, scan, or wood sample, and we'll match it exactly.
We carry M2 HSS bar stock for all the common knife clamping systems and machines:

-Standard 60-degree corrugated-back
-Standard bevel-edge for WKW and Schmidt collars
-Notched ("Lockedge") Bevel Edge for WKW and Schmidt collars
-Square-back for Williams & Hussey and Shop Fox moulders
-Square-Back for Belsaw, Powermatic, and other moulder-planers
-40mm and 60mm blanks for European heads
